IXL is a software program that allows students to work at their own level, but it also provides a challenge for those students that are above and beyond the regular IXL curriculum.  We especially like the program because those students that are below grade level (3 or more levels) are provided work to build up skills needed to success in the current class.

Each student has his/her own username and password.  They may also work on IXL outside of the classroom.  They have access to their "work" on any computer at home, iPad, etc.

At their request, We can provide username and password to parents.

GO Math! is aligned to the Common Core State Standards and provides engaging and interactive learning experiences that allow every student to develop the skills to think critically and apply their math knowledge

Mathematical Mindsets provides practical strategies and activities to help teachers and parents show all children, even those who are convinced that they are bad at math that they can enjoy and succeed in math. Jo Boaler—Stanford researcher, professor of math education, and expert on math learning—has studied why students do not like math and often fail in math classes.  This book bridges shares research findings, practical activities, and advice.

MobyMax Personalized Learning includes 27 complete subjects covering all grades between kindergarten and eighth grade.

Khan Academy logo
Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empowers learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. Content areas include math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more.

Their math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps. They have also partnered with institutions like NASA, The Museum of Modern Art, The California Academy of Sciences, and MIT to offer specialized content.  Students log in through their teacher’s accounts to access the content.

Advance Via Individual Determination: LMS AVID program is designed to increase school wide learning and performance and to insure all students to succeed in a rigorous curriculum. The AVID program at LMS is focusing on organization, using Cornell notes, quick writes to improve writing which will include the use of level AVID LMS2-level 3 wording, Philosophical Chairs, Socratic seminars , and to encourage students to set goals which will include to complete a college preparatory path. Students complete a college board, which requires them to collect information on the college of their choice.
